Linda and Matthias are awesome, and so was their wedding. It was cool, unfussy, and beautiful, and reflected their laid-back attitude and stylish sensibilities. They had one of the last weddings ever at Alte Teppichfabrik, a former carpet factory and shabby-chic Berlin treasure, with it’s peeling paint, exposed concrete, and graffiti details. The focus of this wedding was really on spending time with beloved friends and family, eating delicious food, and having an amazing party.
I was excited when Linda first contacted me, and explained that her wedding would involve elements of her Vietnamese culture including a tea ceremony, and a traditional gown reflecting her heritage. All the little details, including their simple and beautiful wedding stationary, were perfect.
Later in the evening, Linda surprised Matthias by singing “Make You Feel My Love” by Bob Dylan, she performed the song so beautifully, and it was incredibly touching. Anyone who loves Bob Dylan is in my heart forever, including these two.
When the evening shadows
And the stars appear
And there is no one there
To dry your tears
I could hold you
For a million years
To make you feel my love
I could make you happy
Make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn’t do
Go to the ends
Of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love
